~ Village News ~

For improved safety in the Village, several projects were recently completed. 15 mile Speed Limit signs have been added, all existing stop markings on paths have been repainted and painted crosswalks have been added to street surfaces at various path/street intersections.

To discourage activity and use in the grass roundabouts in the 4 cul-de-sacs, signage has been added to discourage foot and bike traffic or any other acitivites. The damaged grass should recover by next Spring/Early Summer.

Cape Kiwanda Longboard Surf Competition

Saturday, August 7th, 2010 August 7-8th, Cape Kiwanda, Pacific City

This contest is for longboards 9' and up. Contestants will be judged on three criteria: size and quality of wave selection, length of ride and maneuvers the rider can complete. This is a family-oriented event that features the absolute best commentators and is loaded with lots of cool stuff!

Tillamook County Fair

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010 August 11-14th, Tillamook County Fairgrounds

'Fair Time is Fun Time' - Offering a wide array of activities: 4-H and FFA youth will demonstrate their animals and projects. Tillamook county residents will display their crafts and artwork. Clowns, rides, horse racing, indulgent fair food, Pig 'n Ford races, and more!
